REDARC DUAL BATTERY CHARGER KIT

A complete pre wired dual battery charger kit for an under bonnet setup

Using the renowned Australian made Redarc BCDC 1225/40/50D charger and solar controller with an Anderson plug to accept solar directly. First choose the best location for your bcdc charger to be mounted on the front grill. This kit is available in 2 different configurations. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE PRE WIRED HARNESS LENGTHS.

1. Auxiliary battery and Main battery located on opposite sides of the engine bay.

   (Harness lengths from BCDC charger: 1.5m to MAIN - 1.5m to AUXILIARY

   Solar Harness - length to reach to bull bar or mounted in engine bay)

2. Both Main and Auxiliary battery located on the same side of the engine bay.

   (Harness length from BCDC charger: 1.4m to MAIN - 1.8m to AUXILIARY

   Solar Harness - finished at AUX battery with length to mount in engine bay)

The kit comes with the Redarc charger pre wired with soldered and heat shrunk connections, no joins required. If the pre wired harness lengths won’t suit where you want to position your Redarc BCDC charger, you can customise required harness lengths at checkout.

Optional Extras:

Ignition Wire: Optional Ignition tap pack for vehicles with variable voltage (smart) alternators. This pack includes 2x different add a circuit fuse holders and a range of fuses to assist in getting an ignition feed to the Redarc chargers blue wire.

Accessory Harness: (7m) to run to the rear of the vehicle and mount a socket housing. Your choice of sockets (Cig, USB, Engel, Volt meter or Single Anderson with flip up cover) they can be customised to suit your needs. Please select your preference at checkout.

Available using the Redarc 1240D (40amp) and 1250D (50amp) chargers. We recommend using the 1225D (25amp) model when using lead based batteries under the bonnet such as Lead acid deep cycle or AGM as most of these batteries have a max charge current of about 30 amps. If using Lithium batteries the 1240D or 1250D is now available in our kits.
