Smart Ignition Sense Module - for variable voltage (smart) alternators

This inertial sense Module is a solid-state electronic device developed for use with Redarc and Enerdrive dcdc chargers to save the hassle of having to tap into the vehicles ignition system on cars with variable voltage alternators.

Using this module in conjunction with one of our dual battery kits, we will wire it to suit either the Enerdrive or Redarc kit that it is purchased with.

How it works

In simple terms the smart ignition sense detects movement (from both the engine vibration and acceleration), when attached to the vehicle chassis or body. Once the input voltage is within operating range this movement will provide a trigger signal to the Redarc or Enerdrive dc charger and initiate the charging cycle.

This unit alleviates the need to wire into the cars factory wiring and keeps the entire kit plug and plug making it easy to install and easy to remove later if needed.

We have developed this product for use with our universal Redarc and Enerdrive dual battery kits. To act as the ignition feed for veichles with variable voltage alternators.

A lot of modern vehicles run variable voltage (smart) alternators which requires your dual battery charger to be wired into the vehicles ignition in order for the charger to work correctly.

This is a simple and effective DIY solution.
